A Rose for the Dead, released in 1997, is an addendum to Theatre of Tragedy’s second full-length album Velvet Darkness They Fear. The first two songs are outtakes from the Velvet Darkness sessions, while the third track is a new version of their classic song “Der Tanz Der Schatten” with lyrics in English. The EP is completed by remixes of two other songs from their 1996 full-length and by a cover of Joy Division’s “Decades”.
