Painting on Glass represents the evolution of The Third and the Mortal from a gothic doom band to an avant-garde rock band with metal influences. While they had never been a strictly orthodox metal band, The Third and the Mortal had a much heavier sound on previous albums. This album features alternative instrumentation and a strong ambiental feeling throughout, while retaining some heavy guitars accompanied with slow drumming, often with a slightly distorted guitar melody following the central motif.

A perfect balance of functionality and style, these custom-printed tote bags are made with spun polyester, and feature double-stitched seams, cotton webbing straps, and nonwoven laminate lining. The all-over graphic print is created with dye sublimation for a sharp and vibrant design.
