Its unorthodox and revelatory content, particularly the description of fallen angels, led to its rejection from the Hebrew canon, as illustrated by the comments of Trypho when debating with Justin Martyr on this subject: ”Your expositions are mere contrivances… nay, even blasphemies, for you assert that angels sinned and revolted from God.” This volume contains all three extant books of Enoch.
